Motorcyclist hits pedestrian in Flagler Beach

FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. — A motorcyclist was heading south on State Road A1A while a pedestrian was crossing A1A from east to west.
 
The motorcyclist, 30-year-old Brian Freeman, hit and critically injured Shane Kitchens, 37.
 
The Florida Highway Patrol says the pedestrian was flown by Trauma One to Halifax Trauma Center in Daytona Beach.
 
Freeman is in serious condition at Florida Hospital Flagler.
 
According to FHP, Freeman was not under the influence of alcohol.
