Motorcyclist injured in crash involving a JSO cruiser

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A motorcyclist is injured from a crash involving a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office cruiser Friday afternoon.

JSO said the Sgt. F. Alicea was conducting regular street patrol at noon when the crash happened.

The motorcyclist was turning left while the cruiser was going straight, according to JSO.

The unidentified motorcyclist was ejected during the crash. The man is receiving treatment for a serious arm injury at UF Health Jacksonville.

Police have not confirmed who is at fault. This is an ongoing investigation.
