It’s the kind of harassment Katie Elizabeth wouldn’t wish on anyone.

She says the men have been showing up at her home since Mother’s Day, at all hours of the night.

“Always different cars, different type of men,” said Elizabeth.

According to a police report, one of the men told officers he was responding to an ad on the dating website Plenty of Fish.

The man told police a user with the profile name “Jessica3130” told him to meet at Elizabeth’s address for sex.

Elizabeth says she wouldn’t answer the door. That man was the only one who was still around when police arrived.

“It’s like a horror story or Lifetime movie that won’t go away,” she said.

She says ten different men showed up at her door last weekend alone, adding that one even tried to open her door.

“I could hear the door rattling,” she said.

Elizabeth believes her ex-boyfriend created the Plenty of Fish profile and is directing the men to her house to scare or intimidate her.

Under Florida law, this falls under a form of sexual cyber-harassment, a misdemeanor.

Action News Jax Law and Safety Expert Dale Carson tells us that unlike other misdemeanors, police don’t need to see the crime occur to make an arrest.

“Now police officers can arrest without the event occurring in their presence, which naturally wouldn’t happen,” said Carson.

Elizabeth said a detective told her that JSO was seeking a subpoena to obtain information from the website.

While this case is under investigation, Elizabeth is worried about the intentions of the men coming over. She’s especially worried about her two teenage children.

“I don’t know what’s being posted on these sites,” she said. “I’m at a loss, I can’t stop it.”
