Nassau County man wanted for alleged teen molestation

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who reportedly molested a 13-year-old girl.

Deputies issued a warrant for the arrest of Albert Preston Brown on Nov. 28.

A father, who Action News Jax is not naming to protect his daughter, said he had a phone conversation with his daughter that he never expected.

"Kind of had to get ahold of myself because I was freaking out, but I couldn't let her know that," the father said.

He said that about three weeks ago, he called his daughter to check in while he was working.

"(She was) very upset, barely being able to talk; crying," the father said.

That’s when he said his daughter told him that Brown, a relative, came into the bed while she was napping and touched her inappropriately.

"My whole life I swore if something like this ever happened, I would jump off the deep end and probably kill somebody. Now that it happened, your whole perspective changes," the father said.

Action News Jax looked up Brown’s record; he has a lengthy criminal past with charges ranging from burglary to grand theft auto.

The man said Brown has been in his daughter’s life for several years.

"That's her biggest question: How could someone she trusted for so long do something like this to her? I don't have an answer," the father said.

His biggest fear is that she will have relationship problems in the future. "I would hate for the rest of her life to be ruined because of something like this," the father said.

"I just want him caught. I just want justice served. Period," the father said.

The Sheriff’s Office said Brown is from Callahan, but he could be in Jacksonville or Georgia.
