Nassau County officials have issued a temporary ban on driving on beaches in an effort to protect sand dunes after Hurricane Matthew.
Nassau County officials said on Tuesday that the ban includes cars, ATVs, three-wheelers, four-wheelers and dirt bikes.
Nassau County Emergency Management said four-wheelers trying to avoid the debris from Hurricane Matthew are damaging what is left of the dunes.
County officials said the public will be notified when the ban is lifted.
