JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — At least five people who live on the same street in a residential community had their car windows vandalized. The victims reached out to Action News Jax to alert neighbors on Heronsford Lane about what happened to them so people can be on the lookout for unusual activity.
The five people believe someone over the weekend shot several rounds into their car windows.
Michael Rowlette told Action News Jax his car received the brunt of the damage. He used a broom and his hand to break the rest of the shattered glass.
Many neighbors stood flabbergasted as they tried understand why their cars were targeted.
“The truck over there has a lot of little spots in it. I figured that it's either a couple of rocks or an automatic BB gun,” said Rowlette.
Neighbors said they’re concerned if the suspects come back, they could miss a vehicle and hit a child’s window.
“It could have really hurt someone even though it was a BB gun. That’s beside the point. That could have really hurt someone, and it could have done some damage,” said another victim.
