Neighbors: Victim in motorcycle crash will be missed

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The intersection at Bald Eagle Road and Lake Terrace Lane is where FHP says 23-year-old Kyle Klocek lost his life Saturday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Klocek was skating down the middle of the westbound lane when a motorcyclist collided with him.

The crash site is just around the corner from where Klocek lived.

Neighbors say Klocek grew up in Fleming Island and was a sweet guy. Neighbor Ray Powell says he knows the family and says Klocek will be missed.

"God rest his soul and the family," said Powell.

While the Klocek family is grieving the loss of a loved one, another family is clinging to hope. FHP says 26-year-old Arthur Zimmerly was the man driving the motorcycle that collided with Klocek.

Zimmerly's friends say he was thrown from his bike and is in bad shape at UF Health Jacksonville.

"He's unresponsive, in critical condition. We're hoping and praying he'll be alright," said friend Mason Graham.

FHP is still investigating if alcohol played a role in this crash.
