New shift on JTB at I-95 for improvement project

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — There is a new shift in the driving pattern that will be in place through at least Monday in part of the J. Turner Butler Boulevard Improvement Project.

The newest shift for drivers at Interstate 95 and JTB is needed to allow crews to start working on the new northbound overpass, which is just one of several moving parts of the JTB Interchange Improvement Project.

Florida Department of Transportation detour routes:

  • If traveling west on JTB you will be directed to I-95 North to Bowden Road to I-95 South
  • If you are heading east on JTB you will get on I-95 south to Baymeadows Road to I-95 North

The nightly detours will be in place from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday and then Sunday and until 5 a.m. Monday

The JTB Improvement Project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2017.

Up-to-date lane closure information is available on the project on the FDOT's website or through the project hotline at 904-491-2133, which has been established to assist with questions and concerns.
