JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Neighbors are coming together to end a growing drug problem on their street in Oceanway.
Homeowner Kathy Livingston lives on Galway Avenue and said a new drug dealer lives on her street, and said a person died after an overdose at that dealer’s house last week.

That's why Livingston put up a homemade warning sign Tuesday, alerting people of the alleged dealer and the overdose, a similar tactic she used on a different alleged drug dealer in July. We told you last July when JSO arrested that suspect days after the sign was installed.
The new sign also warns potential drug dealers and buyers she and others are keeping an eye out.
“Neighbors are banding together, taking pictures and sending them to JSO; we’ve had enough,” Livingston said.

Livingston said the alleged dealer mentioned in her sign had a man slash Livingston’s tires recently after Livingston alerted someone about the deadly overdose.

Livingston said the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested the man who popped her tires after the suspect dropped a completed job application in her yard.
"'This home is protected by Smith and Wesson and a home video security system. Don't be stupid,'" Livingston said, reading another sign posted in her yard. "That boy was stupid."
Action News Jax crime and safety expert Ken Jefferson said neighbors in similar situations should copy Livingston's idea, organize neighborhood patrols and and unite.
