The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT team was able to take a homicide suspect into custody on Wednesday afternoon without incident.
Police responded to the New Kings Mobile Home Park in the Dinsmore area on New Kings Road at 3:45 p.m. with an active warrant for the man's arrest. The homicide happened in February, JSO said.
Officers made contact with the man and he refused to come out. After negotiations between the suspect and police, the man was taken into custody and no one was hurt.
A woman was with the man but it is not known if she was being held against her will, JSO said. Police said they could not reveal how they located the suspect because it could jeopardize the case.
Police did not know if the suspect, who will be named later, was armed.
