Pick muscadine grapes at this Jacksonville vineyard this fall

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It's muscadine season! Congaree and Penn farm, at 11830 Old Kings Road in Jacksonville, Fla., is allowing local wine-o's to come by Wednesday through Sunday mornings in August and September to try their hands at grape picking!

It's muscadine grape season at Congaree and Penn! Our grapes are yours for the picking. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Reserve a picking window in advance, and join us Wednesday through Sunday for picks in August (and maybe a little bit in September). _______________________ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How it Works _ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Reserve a picking time ($5 per guest) at the link in our profile. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Your reservation includes a small basket, but you are welcome to purchase additional baskets upon arrival.* Small baskets hold about one pound. Large baskets hold about four pounds. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *Because of fluctuating availability of fruit, Congaree and Penn reserves the right to limit the number of baskets per guest, as well as the size of the basket. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Fill your basket, keep your basket, and enjoy the fruits of your labor! Guests can reserve times between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., or 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to fill their baskets. Each reservation includes a small basket, but guests are welcome to purchase additional baskets upon arrival. A small basket is $5 and a large is $15.

The farm also invites guests to visit its taproom and indulge in the farm menu before or after a picking adventure.

To reserve a spot, the farm requires that guests register in advance. Guests who are not interested in picking grapes are not required to make a reservation, but they will not be permitted to pick without a reservation.
