Mayor: Pier Cantina's extended hours revoked for 30 days

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The Pier Cantina & Sandbar is not allowed to operate extended hours from 12-2 a.m. for 30 days, Jacksonville Beach Mayor Charlie Latham has confirmed.

The magistrate took disciplinary action for a violation, and was not the establishment's first offense, Latham said.

"We want people to be good citizens and exercise good behavior and if they don't, we hold them accountable through the magistrate system," Latham said.

Action News has calls into City Attorney Susan Erdelyi to learn the specifics of The Pier's extended hours being revoked.
