JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects in a carjacking that happened just before 8 p.m. Wednesday night at The District on Kernan.
According to a JSO incident report, the victim was sitting in his unlocked parked car talking on his phone when two men pulled up in a black car next to him.
The suspects tried to rob the victim by holding him at knifepoint and punching in the face. The victim repeatedly told the suspects he had no money, the report detailed.
The suspects drove off in their car when three witnesses started walking towards them.
One suspect is facing charges of carjacking with firearm or deadly weapon and battery, and the other suspect is charged with armed robbery, carjacking, assault and battery.
