JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are investigating a false 911 report Wednesday morning on Jacksonville's Westside.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded at about 3:30 a.m. to a 911 call in the 3200 block of Dignan Street, which is a about three blocks north of Lakawana Park. The caller told police she was being held by an armed individual at a home in the neighborhood.
The initial investigation led police to believe that the caller was inside a home in the area with the suspect, police said.
Officers arrived and took three adults and four children out of the home. The people removed from the home were not the original caller. Police then determined the home to be cleared.
There is no motive for the call, according to police.
The whereabouts of the caller is unknown. JSO is continuing to investigate.
