Police: Car burglar urinated before taking items

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. — A man suspected of auto burglary urinated on the victim's driveway before taking several items out of a vehicle, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The burglary took place on Tuesday in the 1200 block of  Nipigon Avenue North, JSO said in a post on its Facebook page.

When he noticed his vehicle had been tampered with, the victim reviewed surveillance video filmed outside his home.

The burglar appeared to have an 8- to 11-year-old child with him at the time, JSO said. The man, who was not wearing a shirt or shoes, and the child approached the home on foot.

The video showed the man apparently urinating on the driveway near the garage, police said. The man then opened the victim's vehicle and took several items, which were later found in a line on the road.

Police believe the man tried to put the items in his pocket and missed.
