Police find a man shot dead in Arlington Hills

A man was found dead in the Arlington Hills area late Friday night, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Police responded to a call at 10:39 p.m. on the 3000 block of Dalehurst Drive West in reference to a person shot, according to police.

Officers found a dead man, about 32 years old. Police said he suffered from one gunshot wound.

Patrol officers detained two individuals at the scene, JSO said.

According to police, neighbors in the area reported hearing an argument prior to the gunshots. JSO believes the victim and the two individuals detained at the scene all knew each other.

There are no any outstanding suspects at this time, JSO said.
