WEIRD FLORIDA: More strange stories from the Sunshine State
A Clay County man was jailed and charged with aggravated assault after he held a blowtorch to a woman's face during an argument.
Timothy Barton, 41, was speaking to people who were not there, and an argument started between him and his wife over his erratic behavior, a police report said.
Barton was sitting on a bed with a blowtorch in his hand, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, and held the blowtorch to his wife's face when she tried to leave the room.
The argument started because of an earlier argument Barton had with his parents earlier in the day, police said.
Police said Barton has been smoking marijuana during the time of the incident. His wife was not injured, police said.
