JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A shooting in Northwest Jacksonville injures two people Thursday night.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the Winn Dixie on Moncrief Road around 9:45 p.m. in reference to two people shot.
Officers found one person with non-life-threatening injuries and another victim with life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to UF Health Jacksonville for treatment. One of the victims is in critical condition.
The investigation revealed that the shooting occurred at Soutel Liquors on Soutel Drive.
JSO says the victims were in the drive-thru when a black Ford Expedition pulled up and fired multiple shots. The expedition had multiple men inside, but at least one shot at the victims, said JSO.
The suspects then drove away from the scene, and the victims drove to the Winn Dixie for help.
The investigation is ongoing.
