Police: Woman sexually battered while using Wi-Fi at Jacksonville library

Jacksonville police are investigating a sexual battery Wednesday they say happened while a woman was trying to use a public library's Wi-Fi.

The incident happened at about 6:30 a.m. outside of the Brown Eastside Branch. Police said the woman was using the Wi-Fi outside of her vehicle when an unknown man approached her with a gun in an attempt to rob her. 

After the attempted robbery, police said the man forced the woman in her car and sexually battered her. The man had then fled on foot, police said.  

The attacker was described as a black male, 30-35 years old and approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was said to have a dark complexion and a goatee, and was wearing dark pants and a dark-colored hoodie.
