Red Cross offers free smoke alarms in Jacksonville

The Red Cross is installing free smoke alarms in 100,000 homes across the country -- including in the Jacksonville area.

The company is looking for volunteers and those in need of smoke alarms.

Volunteers and Red Cross employees will be installing them in homes in Northeast Florida between Sept. 23 and Oct. 14.
