Renderings released for Jacksonville's proposed 'Healthy Town'

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Another local developer is planning a project for the other side of the St. Johns River on the Southbank.

The renderings for the project, which is being called "Healthy Town," would have space for living, working and recreational activities. The Downtown Investment Authority said the project designers are set to start meeting with investors to get the funding in place.

The project is estimated to cost between $400 million and $500 million.

There is no set timeline on it yet.

Developers are taking suggestions on what to ultimately call the area.
