Report: Teens in St. Johns County flee burning car with marijuana, $543 inside

A St. Louis police officer is accused of driving a van too roughly to punish two prisoners, court documents claim.

Witnesses in Fruit Cove called deputies after they saw teens abandon a crashed car that was on fire, A St. Johns County report said.

A car crashed on Creekwood Way around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, the report said, and the car caught fire.

The persons who fled the car were described as "teens" in the report. Deputies arrived to secure the scene.

Deputies reported that marijuana was found in the car, including a baggy, a jar and a blunt that had already been smoked. The baggy held 12 grams of marijuana, the report said.

Deputies also found $543 in the car, which was towed.
