Restaurant Report: Inspectors find violations at local First Watch, Yobe Frozen Yogurt

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Your health and safety, it’s the reason we go out every week to get you answers about the places you love to eat. In this week’s Original Restaurant Report, Action News Jax Ben Becker tells us about violations that inspectors found at local restaurants:

Avocado toast, eggs benedict and fresh juice: First Watch says everything is made-to-order and freshness is never compromised, but inspectors found violations at first glance.

TRENDING:

Becker paid a visit to the First Watch located at Bartram Park Boulevard and Old St. Augustine Road and spoke with the manager. Inspectors say they found potentially hazardous food temperatures, raw fruits/vegetables not washed prior to prep and food residue on equipment door handles.

The manager told Becker he could not speak about the violations, so Becker emailed corporate headquarters and is still waiting to hear back about the violations.

Beaver Street Commissary at West Beaver Street near McDuff Avenue in Jacksonville was cited for 106 dry hard rodent droppings, a hole in a wall and an exterior door with a gap. It was temporarily closed.

Yobe Frozen Yogurt at Bartram Oaks Walk near Race Track Road was operating without a license, had a toxic substance stored by service items and the bathroom facility was in disrepair.

Epic Theatres at Oakleaf was cited for potentially hazardous food temperatures, floor drain covers were heavily soiled and there was a mold like substance in ice chutes.
