The package that was deemed "suspicious" and caused a San Marco high-rise evacuation was actually a sex toy, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said in a report.

A resident had told JSO he had received a package from an unknown person. The return address is to a foreclosed condo in the same building.

JSO seized the evidence, the report said.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released an alert about the possible suspicious package at 7:42 p.m. at the Le Baron Condominiums.

Residents are allowed to go back to their homes.

Police said the Homeowners Association President for the building received a package Sunday in the mail.

The president contacted the return address was the one of someone he is currently in a lawsuit with. The president believed the package was suspicious and contacted police, JSO said.

Police said the man has an upcoming court date regarding the lawsuit.

Police evacuated condominium residents from the 42 units as well as patients at the Ronald McDonald House, which is near the building.

The residents have been taken to a hotel for the night. JSO said a bomb squad responded to the scene.
