Kid Care Report: Scholars Christian Academy

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.  -- Action News stopped by Scholars Christian Academy on North Main Street in Jacksonville. The DCF inspector was there recently, too, and found several problem areas during her more than four-hour inspection of the facility.

The issues had to do with the following:

-The facility's transportation log was not retained for a minimum of four months.

-Areas of the facility were found to be in need of cleaning.

-A problem with the "10 Hour in service" rule for the staff.

Action News spoke with the staff at Scholars Christian Academy and they said the three violations have been corrected.

But the center still Missed The Mark on the Kid Care Report.  While one place missed, two centers scored big.

Gingerbread House Learning Center and Childtime Learning Center, both in Jacksonville, didn't have any violations on their most recent state inspection reports. It means they get huge kudos for being On The Mark.
