School bus crashes into tree Friday morning

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A school bus crashed into a tree early Friday morning in Jacksonville.

The bus crashed in the area of Reedy Branch Drive and Baymeadows Road.

A representative with the Duval County Public Schools said students were on the bus and no injuries were reported.

The bus driver was hurt in the crash. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department took the victim to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The bus was headed to Alden Road Exceptional Student Center. Another bus is headed to the scene to pick up the students, DCPS said.
