School nurse pleads not guilty to stealing student medication

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Columbia County school nurse accused of stealing medication from students says she is not guilty.

Marilee Boozer entered the plea in court on Wednesday.

She was arrested in May. Police say she stole Ritalin and other medications from students at Pinemount Elementary School and instead gave them folic acid.

On Wednesday, Boozer was formally charged with one count of child neglect and 11 counts of grand theft of a controlled substance.

She is due back in court Sept. 29.
