The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office posted a message Tuesday that there was no active shooter at Pedro Menendez High School in St. Augustine.

A teacher making popcorn set off a fire alarm, authorities said. After the fire alarm went off, one of the students reportedly posted a message on Snapchat that an active shooter situation was ongoing.

There was no incident and the school was secure, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said.
