Some concerned after fights broke out at Jacksonville Fair

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officials for the Jacksonville Fair said there is nothing to be concerned and the fair will go on as scheduled until Nov. 13.

Some are concerned after fights broke out over the weekend.

Action News Jax obtained multiple videos taken Saturday night that were posted to social media. Officers had to intervene in the fights, and Gayle Hart with the fair says the teens were thrown out.

Hart said the fair closed an hour early Saturday night, not because of fights but because the carnival area was getting too crowded.

Even after the fair closed, Hart said another group of kids were kicked out after they tried to jump a fence to get in. The fence had minor damage and no one was hurt.
