ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. - Several beaches in St. Johns County are closed to vehicle traffic due to high winds and surf from Hurricane Cristobal in the Atlantic Ocean.

St. Augustine, Crescent and Butler beaches are closed, but remain open to pedestrian traffic, according to St. Johns County Communications Manager Michael Ryan.

Vilano Beach and Porpoise Point are still open to vehicles, however.

Residents can get more information on beach access, and get updates on when the beaches will reopen to vehicle traffic, by visiting Reach the Beach online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
