St. Johns County family adopts baby squirrel after Hurricane Irma

A baby squirrel is now part of a St. Johns County family after Hurricane Irma blew through parts of Florida.

The family said they named the animal Piper and she has yet to leave their side.

"She is part of the family now," said family member Angela Gatchall.

Jacksonville felt the outer bands of Irma on Sept. 11.
