St. Johns County firefighters work to put out mulch fire in St. Augustine

Officials are working to put out a mulch fire in St. Augustine.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue said the fire is burning in the 2000 block of County Road 214.

Florida Forest Service and county firefighters are working to contain and extinguish the fire.

Fire rescue officials said there is no immediate danger of the fire spreading.

Drivers and neighbors may see a column of smoke and smell a strong smoke odor depending on prevailing wind conditions.
