3:55 p.m. update: A man killed in a crash on Solana Road in Ponte Vedra Beach Monday morning has been identified.
Deputies say Austen Stoddard Jenney, 22 of Ponte Vedra, was driving a vehicle when he left the roadway near a curve in the road.
Deputies are still working to learn what caused the crash.
It closed a portion of Solana Road for hours Monday.

Deputies said the car hit a tree after leaving the roadway at a curve in the road. Officials said the crash was so severe, it separated the engine from the frame of the car.
"There are very few car parts that are continuing to exist in a particular place," Chuck Mulligan of the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said. "The engine is dislodged from the vehicle. So again, a significant amount of impact with this crash.”

A section of the road was closed for several hours after the crash. It has since reopened.
