St. Johns firefighter rings bell after final leukemia treatment

A St. Johns County firefighter rang the Final Treatment bell after his last treatment for leukemia.

Firefighter Pete Accorti, also known as "Mr. Pete" among firefighters, started his cancer treatments last summer.

"Pete has been unwavering in his professionalism throughout his career and demonstrated steadfast at every emergency scene," said a Facebook post by the St. Johns County Fire Rescue.

After his final treatment, Accorti rang the bell with some St. Johns firefighters there to support him.
