St. Marys burglary suspects in custody

ST. MARYS, Ga. — A man and a woman are in custody, suspected in a rash of July 2 burglaries.

Andrew Grady, 27, of St. Marys, and Jessica Lopez, 26, of Woodbine, are both charged with burglary, according to a Facebook posting from the St. Marys Police Department.

According to the post, Grady and Lopez  were seen over the Fourth of July weekend by a homeowner in the Mush Bluff area leaving the homeowner's home with property that belonged to the homeowner. The homeowner gave the SMPD and the Camden County Sheriff's Office full descriptions of Grady, Lopez and their vehicle.

With the information they obtained, detectives were able to link Grady and Lopez to the July 2 burglaries, according to the post.

Grady is facing four counts of felony burglary in the first degree. The cases are still under investigation as authorities are working to locate and identify stolen property.
