JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 15-year-old girl was shot in what police say was a drive-by retaliation to an incident at Raines High School.

Police say the incident happened at West 1st Street and Detroit Street in north west Jacksonville Friday afternoon.

Several gunshots were fired, and the girl was hit in the chest and in the leg. She was taken to the hospital for critical injuries, but is now in stable condition at Shands.

Police believe three men in a white SUV could be involved, and detectives are questioning several people at the scene.

Police have not released the name of the teen. There are no suspects and no arrests have been made at this time.
