BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- Tuesday night, the Brunswick City Commission voted unanimously to adopt a local indecent exposure ordinance.

The ordinance was introduced because the baggy pants ordinance was not getting enough support. The indecent exposure ordinance does not address clothing, but it does say that it is unlawful to show nudity or body parts in public.

The residents say the new ordinance makes perfect sense.

"You can wear your pants anyway you want to as long as you don't show your personal stuff. Anybody can wear their pants the way they want. Nobody has the right to let you know you can't do this or that," Johnny Dosen said. He was a supporter of allowing people to wear baggy pants.

The law now goes to the mayor for his signature. He plans to sign it within the next few days, and was one of many who thought the baggy pants ordinance was unnecessary.

Good for Brunswick, which seems to be a more progressive CITY than our 'Hicksonville'.

It is a disgusting gross-out to see a male with his hand on his genitals, holding his pants up, and his yuckie underwear flashing! What a turn-off.......

Pull em' up or pull em' off!!! I think that is most ridiculous fad that ever hit the streets. These young boys (and should I say old men also) just don't realize how ignorant they look. Many say its a prison thing, you know letting the others know your'e free and available. Some even show their nasty, stinking, and dirty boxers. A descent woman woundn't dare consider talking to or going out with one these idiots. I think they need to pass a law here in Duval County where this is prohibited. The police should start giving out tickets and citations for every idiot walking around (young and old) with their pants hanging down. This should also include females. They are doing it too.
