ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. —

A teacher resigned from St. Johns Country Day School following his arrest on disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges.

Police arrested Scott McLean Zacher last month at a home in Treasure Island.

Investigators said Zacher told police he believed the home belonged to a friend and tried to get inside while banging on the front door.

The armed homeowner asked Zacher to leave numerous times, according to the report.

Police said Zacher then mooned the homeowners and licked the door.

Zacher worked as the head of Middle School and taught history at St. Johns Country Day.

The school accepted his resignation.
