"The people have spoken and I accept the outcome" Mayoral Candidate Anna Brosche concedes

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Incumbent Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry’s biggest opponent— Republican councilwoman Anna Lopez Broshe said in her concession speech that she has no regrets about her decision to run for mayor.

Action News Jax Courtney Cole spent Tuesday evening at her watch party at Uptown Kitchen Bar + Grill in Springfield. She spoke to supporters and she spoke to Brosche about how she will move forward to work with Mayor Curry following the vicious campaign season.

Chants and claps for Anna Brosche could be heard throughout the evening at Uptown Kitchen and Bar.

Brosche’s supporters kept that same positive energy when she arrived to officially  address her loss to incumbent Mayor Lenny Curry.

"The people have spoken and I accept the outcome. And I congratulate Mayor Curry on another 4 years,” Brosche told the crowd.

Supporters Action News Jax Courtney Cole spoke to yesterday said she’s still a winner in their eyes.

"I believe that we planted a lot of seeds for change and that's what I'm going to feel good about,” Ann Sabbag said.

“She brought a lot of people together, that may have never met one another or associated… like us!” Annette Brown exclaimed as she embraced Sabbag.

Cole asked Brosche what it will be like to work with Mayor Curry after this nasty campaign cycle.

"It's gonna be what it's been what it's been for the past number of weeks and months. And so I'll continue to focus on serving the people and everybody else can do what they chose do in terms of how they plan to serve the people,” Brosche said.

Even though the results weren't what Brosche ultimately wanted, she told Action News Jax Courtney Cole she wouldn't have changed a thing.

Brosche lost to Mayor Curry by 49,141 votes, according to the results from the Duval County Supervisor of Elections website.
