A daycare on the Northside has been broken into twice in less than 24 hours.
Juzt Kidz learning center was only closed for an hour when the owner Taki Starkes-Parrish came back with a trunk full of groceries to replace the ones that were stolen overnight, but when she walked inside she realized her daycare had beenbroken into a second time.
“In the kitchen they made a sandwich, they had breakfast items with syrup out,” Starkes-Parrish said.
That’s all that was taken this time, a bite of a bologna sandwich on wheat bread.
“Just a bite of a sandwich, that’s it,” Starkes-Parrish said.
But she thinks she startled whoever was inside because other items were bagged up that weren’t when she left.
Remember how I was at this daycare on the Northside earlier this evening talking about an overnight break in? Well police are on scene and say someone broke in AGAIN the same way! All for a SANDWICH. That was all that was stolen this time @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/72Rl4S8De9

“All the cleaning items they had bagged up, they bagged up the refrigerator items and all the cabinet items,” Starkes-Parrish said.
The owner tells me the thief made a bologna sandwich on wheat bread & left ranch all over the fridge. She thinks she startled the suspect when she went back into the building @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/X6ru90Avn4

The thief got in the same way this time as the night before by removing the cinder blocks in the back of the building.
“Now we have to pay for the repairs all over again, now we have to have the blocks reset again,” Starkes-Parrish said.

When the daycare was broken into the first time, thousands of dollars’ worth of stuff was taken, including a computer that contained the personal information of employees and children; things like names and birth dates.
Now she’s worried the thief will be back again.
They were able to patch the wall and the area was sealed so the children didn’t get to the damaged part of the building @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/usndKKo4l3

“They’ve already come in the facility and already taken items now for them to come back within 24 hours to do the same thing -- they don’t care,” Starkes-Parrish said.
Police on scene said they plan on adding more patrol units to this area.
