On Thursday, a threatening social media post was sent out to students at Atlantic Coast High School about a shooting on Friday.

The post warned students about the shooting and said to stay home "unless you want to die."

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said that deputies are aware of the threat and said the Duval County public school police are handling the situation.

DCPS police would not say if there would be an increased police presence Friday but stated that the threat isn't credible and students are safe.
