Traffic stop leads to 4 facing felony charges

UNION COUNTY, Fla. — Four people face multiple felony charges after a traffic stop by the Union County Sheriff's Office Monday.

The UCSO responded to reporte of shots fired in the area of S.W. 1st Terrace and S.W. 8th Street in Lake Butler.

Witness told officers people inside of a small maroon colored vehicle were traveling north on SR-238. According to a UCSO Facebook post, police conducted a traffic stop and found four people inside: Martavious Albritton, Taylor L. Crapps, Quandrell X. Steele and John W. Strickland III.

The post said they drove through Lake Butler firing multiple times into the air and pointed guns at people. No one was reported injured in the incident.

Albritton, Strickland, Steele and Crapps face a third-degree felony charge of aggravated assault, larceny/grand theft of firearm, tampering or destroying evidence and a second-degree felony charge of discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Steele and Strickland also face a third-degree felony charge of resisting an officer with violence. Steele is also charged with indecent exposure, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
