Tree-cutting service clears storm debris for Vietnam veteran

Richard Langlois is a Vietnam veteran who served our country for six years.

He is disabled and now lives in Atlantic Beach. Langlois took the warning and left his home during Hurricane Matthew. But when he came back, he had some damage to deal with.

“Nicki, my caregiver, informed me what was down here, which was trees pretty much,” Langlois said.

His caregiver went on social media to ask for help to clean up his property.

“She went on Facebook and basically said does anyone have a chain saw and miraculously a tree-cutting service said ‘I’m taking care of veterans’ and came out yesterday,” Langlois said.

Langloi said he was so grateful for Michael Hosto, who responded to the request on Facebook, and came right away to help remove debris.

“It chokes me up, I’ve been extremely fortunate more than most there’s so many veterans that don't have the blessings that I have,” Langlois said.
