Video showing moments deadly shots fired during Jacksonville music video shoot could help police

There’s new video that could show police exactly what they need to know as they try to find out who shot and killed 22-year-old Kyrie Corley. As of now, no one has been arrested for this case.

The new video could be the missing piece police need to solve the case. It shows the very seconds shots were fired before Rapper Lil Boosie started filming his music video in a Moncrief neighborhood.

You can see people looking in one direction and then taking off in another. Seconds later, you hear multiple gunshots coming from across the street.

Action News Jax Crime and Safety Expert Ken Jefferson said the video can be helpful.

“This too can be valuable to the Sheriff’s Office because they can freeze frame a lot of it and lock in on certain folks,” said Jefferson.

Once the shots were fired, Jefferson said things become chaotic, but he was struck by something that happened, after the shooting.

“That one person, is going towards the sound, as though as he is leading, towards the incident is occurred, so that would definitely be a person of interest that I would want to find and talk to,” said Jefferson.

“It’s just sad, it really is, but he didn’t deserve that,” said Tammy Powell, Corley's cousin.

Powell said Corley had a little daughter with one more child on the way. The family has heard the rumors that Corley’s shooting is connected to a deadly shooting at Kelly’s Place, where 48-year old Jenifer Nelson was shot and killed while sitting in a car.

Action News Jax's Larry Spruill: "Some people are hearing that this shooting is in relation to the Kelly’s Place Shooting. Is that true?"

Antonia Starkes, Corley's aunt: "Absolutely not. Breon, as I call him, never carried a gun, never carried a knife, never been in a fighting situation."

Larry Spruill: "Have you heard his shooting was a retaliation to that?"

Antonia Starkes: "Umm, somewhat like that. I heard little bits and pieces, like that."

Police have not arrested anyone for this shooting, but the family hopes this video will change that.

Jefferson said police are probably interested in talking to the person that posted this video as well.
