JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Jacksonville Saturday to meet with government leaders and small business owners about healthcare and other economic priorities of the Trump Administration.

The Vice President flew into Naval Air Station Jacksonville accompanied by Representative John Rutherford and Seema Verma, who heads the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Mayor Lenny Curry and Governor Rick Scott greeted them at the airport then the group left for a meeting at Mac Papers on Philips HIghway.

In a tweet shortly before the meeting, Vice President Pence said "Obamacare is hurting small businesses & job creators like Mac Paper" and that it's time to repeal and replace it with the American Health Care Act.

The event was not open to the public but the Vice President was scheduled to give remarks afterward.
