JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A woman has been arrested on suspicious of leaving a small child in a hot car on Sunday.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to Costco on Gate Parkway just after 2 p.m. in reference to a child in a hot vehicle.

The complainant got the child out of the vehicle around 1:45 p.m. because the child was sweating, a JSO Facebook post said.

Vivian Guo, 49, returned to her vehicle around 2:30 p.m., the post said.

The vehicle's windows were cracked slightly to allow airflow. JSO says Guo left the 5-year-old in the vehicle because the child didn't want to go in the store and she thought it would be OK.

The woman told police her watch was not working and she didn't realize how long she was in the store.

Guo is charged with child neglect.
