Woman, 62, found dead in Jacksonville home; police searching for her car

UPDATE: The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as Deborah Liles, 62.

A was found dead in a home off 59th Street on Thursday afternoon and the police are searching for her car.

Police blocked off East 59th Street in Panama Park for hours while they investigated.

"The call came in through family. They attempted to reach the individual inside the residence and went to the home," said Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. Steve Rudlaff.

Police could not say how the woman died. Neighbors did not want to speak to Action News Jax on camera, but one man said his son saw a woman sobbing on her porch.

Investigators say the woman was found inside the home and doesn't live alone.

"We are currently looking for the female's vehicle," Sgt. Rudlaff said.

JSO said the woman, who was not named, owned a gold 2010 Buick Lacrosse with FL tag 275LLJ. Police say they do not know who has the woman's car, but they are looking for it and asking drivers to be on the lookout, as well.
