JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting Friday morning .

Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 3 a.m. in the 3700 block of St. Johns Bluff Road.

A 24-year-old woman was shot in her left thigh area, JSO said. The victim was transported to a hospital and is expected to be OK.

JSO said only the victim and her roommate were home at the time of the shooting.

Both women are in custody, and JSO says the victim or the roommate is not cooperating

"The one roommate that was transported with the injuries was being kind of combative with the fire-rescue guys and is still being rather hostile at the hospital with the medical personnel there, too. (She's) not giving us any information as to what happened," said JSO Sgt. Brian Shore.

The investigation is ongoing.
