Woman shot by carjacker at Jacksonville strip club after ramming husband's car

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a woman is in critical condition after being shot by an unknown gunman early Sunday.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of Cocktails Bar and Lounge on Lane Ave. When JSO arrived at the scene, they found a woman shot in her torso.

Police said she rammed her own vehicle into her husband's car.

JSO said the woman witnessed her husband being carjacked for his white Dodge Challenger in the parking lot. That's when she used her own car, a white Jeep, to stop the carjacker, police said.

The unknown carjacker then stopped the car, got out and shot the woman as she sat in her car. The husband was not injured.

JSO said a search is ongoing for the shooter.

Friends tell Action News Jax the injured woman is known to many as Diamond, a clothing and costume designer who is now fighting for her life.

On social media, friends are hoping and praying she makes it.
