Woman suspected in recent jewelry store robberies arrested in Georgia

SMYRNA, Ga. — The woman suspected in recent jewelry store robberies in the Southeast has been arrested.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation said the Abigail Lee Kemp, 24, was arrested without incident Friday in Smyrna, Georgia.

The FBI said they received numerous tips and began to receive  credible leads from the public shortly after the release was sent out earlier in the week.

Agents from the FBI Atlanta Division who were assisting the FBI Jacksonville Division made the arrest Friday.

The FBI said the investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
